I grew up watching Ajrakh being made in Gujarat. It's not just a print.
It's a 400-year-old royal art form, born in Sindh and brought to Kutch when Rao Bharmalji I, the King of Kutch, invited the Khatri artisans to his kingdom. For centuries it was reserved for royalty — dyed in indigo, madder, and pomegranate, washed 16 times in the river, block-printed on both sides so it never fades. In Arabic "Azrak" is directly translated to "Blue" the color highly used in Ajrakh prints. In Hindi it means “keep it today.”

COLOR: Cloud White
Upper: Italian Cowhide Full-Grain Leather 100%
Not basic. This is real Italian full-grain — the top layer, smooth, strong, and it gets better with time. Soft to touch, clean finish, with a subtle sheen. The kind of Cloud White that goes with everything.
Lining: Pure Merino Wool
Naturally warm, naturally breathable. It keeps you toasty at -15°C without ever making your feet sweaty. No itchy synthetic fuzz.
Warmth: 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation
The same insulation trusted by winter royals in the North. Warmth without the bulk. Your boots stay sleek, your feet stay warm.
Waterproofing: Waterproof Membrane + Full DWR Treatment
We added a hidden waterproof membrane and DWR-treated the entire shoe — not just the upper. So water beads off and never soaks through to your socks. Snow, slush, puddles — your feet stay dry.
The Grip: EVA + TPR Sole with Microglass Anti-Slip Particles
This is our secret. A feather-light EVA base for sneaker-like lightness, fused with TPR for durability, infused with microglass particles for real grip. Plus deep, engineered threads that actually bite into ice. Truly anti-slip, not just anti-slip looking.
The Comfort: Orthopedic Arch-Support Insole
Cloud-like cushioning with proper arch support built in. You can walk Banff trails or downtown Toronto all day and still want to keep them on.
Your Ajrakh Chelsea - Cloud White is made with real Italian Full-Grain Leather, Merino Wool, and a DWR finish. Don't machine wash it.
Here's how to keep it like new:
1. For the Leather Upper:
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. For snow / salt, wipe right away with a slightly damp cloth, then air dry. Condition every 2-3 months with a conditioner made for full-grain leather. Never use direct heat or a heater — it cracks leather.
2. For the Waterproofing:
Whole shoe is DWR-treated + has a waterproof membrane. Don't use silicone or heavy wax polish — it clogs the membrane. Every 2-3 months, spray with a leather-safe DWR protector spray to revive beading.
3. For the Merino Wool Lining & Thinsulate:
Merino is self-cleaning. Just pull the tongue open and air-dry after each wear. Don't wash the lining. If needed, use a wool-safe inside spray. Don't store compressed — let the Thinsulate loft.
4. For the Sole:
Rinse the sole threads to remove mud / snow. The microglass anti-slip particles work best when the grooves are clean. Don't use harsh chemicals.
5. For the Insole:
Remove the orthopedic insole once a week to air out. Keeps the cushioning fresh.
Storage: Use shoe trees or tissue paper. Store in the dust bag, upright, in a cool dry place. For Cloud White, keep away from dark denim to avoid color transfer.
NEVER: Machine wash, tumble dry, bleach, or put near direct heat.
Treat them right and they’ll age like royalty.
